Nursery Nurse Job Description - Little Learners.

Purpose of post:

To contribute to the high standards of nursery provision through quality physical, social, emotional and intellectual care.

To work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all children can play, develop and learn.

To build and maintain strong partnership with parents and outside agencies to enable children's needs to be met.

Responsible to:

Manager/Deputy Manager/Room Leader

Duties and responsibilities:

To contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the children's age and stage of development. Effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring the individual needs and interest of children in the setting are met.
To maintain key children's learning journeys through the gathering of a variety of quality observations, parent contribution and accurate on entry and three monthly assessments.
To ensure the provision of a high-quality environment to meet the needs of individual children, considering SEND, family cultures and medical histories.
Support all staff and engage in an excellent staff team.
Uphold standards within the setting by adhering to all policies and procedures and the nursery vision statement.
To develop and maintain strong parent partnerships and communication with parents/carers and outside agencies.
To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed such as domestic tasks, preparing snacks and meals, cleansing of the equipment and setting etc.
To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as part of the job.
To uphold the nursery's standards always; both in working hours and outside.
To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people advise the manager/deputy of any concerns relating to safeguarding children.
