We offer hybrid working - with the requirement to be in the office two/three days a week._**
Brief Description:Responsible for work scheduling to meet the requirements of the Asset Protection & Optimisation (ASPRO) work plans and the production of associated Safe System Of Work Packs.


This role sits within the North West and Central ASPRO team, supporting Outside Party and Third Party Customers with access to Network Rail's infrastructure.

The role's day-to-day duties will largely be focused on the planning of track access, safe systems of work and contingent labour, in support of the ASPRO team's Works Planners and Construction Managers.

Working knowledge of Rail Hub, Possession Planning System and Safe System Of Work Packs would be advantageous.


About the role (External):


What will you be doing?

  • Supports the development of the Quarterly Work Plan
  • Manage alignment of plan and schedule at all times. Prepare all associated Safe System Of Work Packs and coordinate method statements.
  • Monitor so that all changes are captured effectively to the prescribed standards
  • Administer and maintain company databases, records and work scheduling systems
  • Provide data analysis and reporting support service to ASPRO
  • Review the effective identification and management of all risks associated with the work and operational assets
  • Manage the team's transition to Rail Hub
  • Represent ASPRO works on Possession planning meetings

In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have/to be:
(Essential)

  • 12 months experience of infrastructure works delivery in an operational environment
  • Track record of getting results through others preferably in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Grounding in all types of planning techniques
  • Understanding of Company Standard NR/L2/OHS/01
  • Time management
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Able to demonstrate relevant Railway experience
  • Able to absorb and recall large quantities of information quickly
  • Detailed understanding of financial issues
  • Able to effectively communicate to all levels of people inside and outside the business
  • Able to influence decisionmaking
  • Strong problem solving skills

We would also like but it isn't crucial to have/to be:
(Desirable)

  • Experience of works planning and scheduling within the operational railway environment
  • Computer literate (PPS, Rail Hub)
  • PTS competence

We adhere to a structured pay framework,
any salary offered will be within the following pay range: Starting salary of £27,000 raising to £32,000.
