Salary:
£34,483 up to £37,924 inclusive annual salary + up to 19.7% employer pension contribution.

Housing Services are responsible for managing and maintaining 5000 properties including sheltered housing, temporary accommodation as well as general needs tenancies.

Our team is currently divided into two teams, an income recovery team and neighbourhood management team. This vacant post is based within our income recovery team.


You will be responsible for a number of functions related to duties in connection with income recovery for secure, Introductory and flexible tenancies.

This includes management of tenant rent accounts, supporting tenants who fall into arrears and representing the council in court. There is a strong emphasis on tenant consultation and participation within the responsibilities of this post.

You will work with a wide range of stakeholders as well as voluntary sector agencies who provide support and advice to tenants and with Councillors on issues related to their ward.


You must be educated to degree level
or with previous experience of working in social housing within a front line service.

Working knowledge of relevant legislation and legal procedures relating to tenancy and income management together with debt recovery is essential for this role.


You must be an excellent communicator, be IT literate with the ability to use an Orchard housing management system or similar.

You will be required to attend occasional evening meetings and evening working as needed.
