Health Care Assistant

Would you be interested in a career within the NHS as a Health Care Assistant in the community? Are you passionate about providing a patient centered support service and want to deliver excellent and compassionate care to people over the age of 18 that live in Bedfordshire?


We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic person who has excellent communication, IT literate and problem solving skills alongside a passion for patient centered care.


You will be part of a MDT team in which you will receive clinical and managerial support, which is also part of a wider MDT team that is aligned to social care professionals in reflection of the NHS 10 year plan.


Our Trust is known for offering excellent training, personal development programmes, supportive coaching and competency frameworks; all to support enhanced skills and career development which meet the goals and aspirations of the individual.

The Community Nursing Service operates between 08.00 to 21.00 hours and the working pattern will include a variety of rotational shifts which will include weekend, evening and Bank Holiday working.

The post holder will provide high quality nursing care to patients in a range of community settings as part of the multidisciplinary team.

  • To assist trained staff and carry out duties delegated by them in line with their training in the provision of quality evidence based practice to clients.
  • To assist in maintaining the smooth running of the team and contribute to the development of the services.
  • To work within the multidisciplinary team in a primary care setting including patients' homes, residential homes and clinics, under mínimal supervision.
  • To provide concise feedback to registered nurses regarding patients' wellbeing and any changing needs.
  • To maintain accurate record keeping, and carry out administrative tasks.
  • To act within the trust policies and procedures
