The post holder will be required to undertake up to an 18 month training programme upon commencement of this Apprenticeship, with an aim to attain an NVQ Level 2 qualification.

Completion of the qualification is a requirement of the contract of employment.

During this training period, salary will be paid in accordance with Annex 21 of the Terms and Conditions.


Months - 6 of the training period will be paid at 70% of the top of Band 2 pay scale/Real Living Wage (whichever is the greater) and Months will be paid at 75% of the top of Band 2 pay scale.


Upon successful attainment of the qualification, even if sooner than the 18 month allocated timeframe, the post holder will automatically move to the Band 2 as they will then meet the full KSF outline of this Band 2 role and be expected to undertake all duties within the Receptionist/ Clinic Co-ordinator Job Description as indicated.


The Receptionist/Clinic Co-ordinator will cover the reception and co-ordinate out-patient clinics, new patient referrals, follow up appointments and contribute to the maintenance of waiting lists for Clinical Teams within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.


The role will also include the filing of results and correspondence as per Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Directorate procedures, the retrieving and returning case notes to the main filing library, prepping of case notes for outpatient clinic and in conjunction with colleagues maintain the records library in accordance with local policy and retention and destruction schedules.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
