An opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment as Operational Lead for the City and Hackney Home Treatment Team.

The busy and challenging service offers home treatment seven days a week to people in mental health crisis as an alternative to hospital admission and also facilitates early discharge.

The well established team is fully multi-disciplinary.

The Crisis Pathway is currently undergoing transformation and the post holder will participate in the implementation of service change. Applicants should have significant leadership experience.

Provide strong and decisive leadership to all staff within the City and Hackney HTT.

Recruit and retain staff to ensure the team is fully operational and develops accordingly.

Establish and maintain regular supervision, appraisal and teaching of staff across the team to ensure that all staff remain effective and motivated.

Ensure staff have the clinical skills to fulfil their duties.

Working in close partnership, encourage and maintain effective communication links with City and Hackney inpatient and community areas in order to promote good working relationships and continuity of quality clinical care.

To forge and maintain working relationships to ensure national and local Crisis/ Home Treatment Team models and standards are adhered to and implemented.

Ensuring structures exist for all new referrals into the service.

Supervise input for clients in crisis and ensure that relevant information is provided to all staff in order to maintain safe levels of practice.
