About The Role:

We have a vacancy for a Waste & Recycling Operative to join our team based on a large site in Whitley, Coventry

You will ensure all waste is collected & standards are upheld, using your initiative to complete these duties.

The role requires an element of physical working/manual handling, and this will involve working both inside and outside.

You must have a full driving license (to use an OCS flatbed 3.5T truck) and a Forklift Counterbalance licence.

You will be required to work with waste machinery such as a cardboard baler, waste compactor, tyre shear (full training will be provided).

You will**:

Assist team in waste segregation.
General housekeeping standards within the waste recycling centre.
Ensure all duty of care requirements are adhered to.
Ensure all external waste points are serviced in accordance with client requirements.
Liaise with both OCS and JLR stakeholders with regards to process improvements.
Work as part of a team to make sure all waste is processed within a timely manner.
Role requires an element of physical working/manual handling.
Feedback any concerns or process failures to Waste Re-Cycling Supervisor.

You'll need:

A full valid driving license use of an OCS flatbed truck (3.5T).
Current/valid Forklift counterbalance licence.
Be flexible to cover other JLR waste sites as required (own transport would be required).
Basic IT skills and willingness to learn our internal and client systems for example eTrackers and Safety Reporting
