Additional Learning Support - JGW+

Are you looking for a new opportunity
We are looking for a motivated individual to provide 1 to 1 support to our youth learners. Providing direct support to learners based on their individual needs ensuring they progress and achieve their learning outcomes.


Salary Banding:
£19,838


Location:
Cardiff


Contract type:
Full time, Permanent.


Working hours:
Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 4:30pm


What are the core responsibilities of this role?

  • Assist learners to complete work assigned by tutors in a timely manner
  • Engage and motivate the learners in the lessons.
  • Ensuring the learners learning needs are adequately met.
  • Help learners effectively engage in group situations and work on a one to one basis
  • Develop the learners skills and confidence.
  • Support learners in developing their ICT, Maths and English skills
  • Assist tutors in ensuring all learner paperwork is completed timely.
  • Update tutors daily on progress of learners
  • Developing appropriate resources to support learners including lesson plans.

What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?

Essential

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Selfmotivated, selfstarter.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with young people yearolds) in a similar role.
  • Classroom Assistant or learning support qualification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of delivering learning programme or providing 121 support
  • Safeguarding & Prevent Knowledge and understanding
