We have a great opportunity for an Apprentice to join our Wills and Probate team based in Heaton Moor.

B J McKenna & Co provide legal services to our clients and have have two offices which are based in Heaton Chapel and Heaton Moor.

We pride ourselves on our 'can do' approach to our clients' needs and our ability to offer support and advice.


The role
We are seeking an Apprentice to join our Wills and Probate team in the Heaton Moor branch.

This role includes a variety of general office related task including:


  • Assisting fee earners within the department
  • Answering incoming calls, transferring calls and taking messages
  • Distributing the post
  • Scanning, photocopying and binding documents
  • Any other general office duties as requested
  • Covering reception
  • Making refreshments
A pleasant telephone manner and smart appearance are essential. Knowledge of Word and Excel are desirable.


This is an ideal position for anyone looking to work in a fast-moving environment and wishing to develop and learn new skills.


The pace of the office can change considerably from day to day, as can the tasks that you will need to carry out, therefore this role will suit someone who enjoys variety.


You will be trained in all aspects of the role, therefore we do not require any particular skill set or experience, however you will need to be comfortable using a computer, happy to speak on the telephone, and be able to pick up new skills quickly.

Being a good team member is essential, as is good organisation skills, self motivation and punctuality.
