Job Introduction

This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery teams are provided with, workable temporary works design drawings in a timely manner to suit programme needs.

Role Responsibility

Produce site sketches, site layouts for Construction delivery teams.
Produce detailed construction drawings for the Temporary Works design team.
Coordinate with delivery and design team to produce workable solutions.
Be aware of applicable Network Rail standards and ensure designs comply.
Ensure designs are coordinated with MEP as required and include all temporary arrangements.
Implement CAD standards to ensure the high quality of drawings
Work closely with the engineering team assisting with any CAD requirements
Produce sections and engineering drawings from survey data / 3D Models.
Provide administration assistance to Temporary Works design team where required.
Reporting to the Area Temporary Works Design Manager.
Previous experience as a CAD technician for tunnelling or civil engineering work. Experience in other industries and disciplines will be considered
Skilled in both 2D drafting and 3D modelling techniques
A strong work ethic and an enthusiasm to learn, develop and share knowledge
Proficient skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation & ProjectWise editions.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract.

Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the constructionof site compounds.
