A Forward-Thinking educational setting within Birmingham, is currently looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to start in February 2023 on a long-term basis.

About the Role:

You will be supporting a class of primary students, working 1:1 with a child who has severe autism, with 2 other trained teaching assistants
You will be supporting students with special educational needs, such as Autism, Mental Health, and Physical difficulties
You will be required to assist with personal care including supporting with toileting, feeding, and changing.

Ofsted rated "Good"
This school is for students aged 519 with Special and complex educational needs such as Autism, communication, and language difficulties, Emotional and Mental Health, sensory, physical development difficulties.

About You:

Experienced working with students with SEN needs including Emotional and behavioural needs
A caring, nurturing, and patient manner to be able to work in a SEN environment
Hold a teaching assistant, degree qualification, or experience
Knowledge of the primary curriculum is desirable
