Traffic Planner - Monday -Friday 3pm - midnight

Job Description:


  • Effective Planning and utilisation of Drivers for deliveries throughout Scotland and England within a busy Traffic Department.
  • Planning daily workload for a large fleet of vehicles.
  • Ensure driver's hours and working time directive regulations and related legislation are adhered to.
  • Plan collections and deliveries to agreed movement schedules.
  • Responsible for meeting all Company health and safety standards.

Essential Qualities:

  • Previous logistics planning/transport experience in a busy and demanding environment.
  • Be able to work effectively in a close team.
  • Have the ability to work alone as well as within the team.
  • Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
  • Have a proactive attitude to all issues to ensuring resolutions are achieved.
  • Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
  • Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business.
  • By highly motivated.
  • Be PC literate in Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Should demonstrate the drive and desire to progress.
  • Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patterns.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
