We are seeking a
New Interconnectors Finance Partner to play a key role in transitioning National Grid Ventures (NGV) Multi-Purpose Interconnectors projects, from initial development into detailed design and construction.

The successful development, construction, and operational implementation of these 'first of a kind' interconnectors are critical to National Grid and to the future UK Energy Infrastructure.


You will be instrumental in shaping the business case that will ultimately lead to securing Group Investment in the projects.

As a key member of the Interconnector Finance team, you will liaise with stakeholders across National Grid Ventures, Group Finance, and Business Services.

You will provide accurate and timely reporting of all project spend, ensuring the project teams have the required information to manage their project finances.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the necessary finance processes are in place and followed to ensure confidence in our financial reporting.


Leading and supporting stakeholders across the projects, you support the development of their annual 10-year Strategic Business Plan and quarterly forecasts, ensuring that the supporting narrative is well articulated and understood by stakeholders across the business.

You'll be a key point of contact for business stakeholders and across finance including preparing information and managing queries by project teams, through year end audit and supporting in the preparation of regulatory submissions into Ofgem and the Department for Energy as the projects progress.


About You:


You're a Qualified (or near Qualified) Accountant - ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, equivalent with solid financial reporting, planning, forecasting and risk management experience.

You have good commercial understanding with a willingness to develop commercial and regulatory knowledge.

You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and can present finance to non-finance professionals wanting to do more than simply report numbers.

You like to get into the detail and can think outside the box and move things forward using your own initiative.

You have a focus on process improvement and controls and can drive through change. In addition, you have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Up to £50k per annum - dependent on experience.
