An exciting opportunity has arisen within Ophthalmology Outpatients, Eign Suite.

This position is to work 37.5 hours over the core hours Monday to Friday and based within the clinical setting.


For this reason the post holder will have excellent communication and speaking skills alongside the ability to multi task and remain calm under pressure.

You will be working within our team of clerks to ensure clinics and theatres are prepared and the Unit administrative tasks are covered.


The main duties of the job are taking phone calls from a variety of places, requesting patient notes, being the first face to be seen when patients arrive on the unit, filing in notes, booking patient transport, troubleshooting any admin issues.


Wye Valley NHS Trust is a member of an NHS Foundation Group with South Warwickshire NHS FT, the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.


Located on the border with Wales in the shadow of the Black Mountains, we provide acute and community services across Herefordshire and into parts of Powys and run Hereford County Hospital and the community hospitals in Bromyard, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye.

Worcestershire is our neighbouring county. The post holder will be required to travel between sites.
