Progress Teachers are working to appoint an experienced and dynamic
Secondary SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a mainstream school in Market Harborough.


Responsibilities:


  • Individualised Support:_
  • Provide oneonone assistance to students with SEN, ensuring their specific needs are met.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt and modify curriculum materials.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Classroom Assistance:_
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and implementing effective teaching strategies.
  • Facilitate small group activities to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Communication and Collaboration:_
  • Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other support staff to provide updates on student progress.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support strategies.
  • Attend and actively contribute to team meetings and training sessions.
  • Record Keeping:_
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for SEN reviews.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of diverse learners.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service
    OR willingness to obtain.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent, Temp to perm


Salary:
£82.09-£93.59 per day

Experience:

  • DBS on the Update Service (preferred)
