THE JOB


The purpose of the Warehouse Operative is to participate in the operations and activities related to keeping the factory fully stocked of materials from the Factory Warehouse.


MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Work in line with warehouse processes and participate in the daily warehouse operations and activities.
  • Receive goods form suppliers book in, unpack and store in locations, pick, issue and deliver materials to the factory, complete
  • Process requisitions from the factory for consumable and backflushed materials.
  • Monitor material stock levels to assure adequate stock levels.
  • Carry out Perpetual Inventory checks to maintain inventory of items in the warehouse,
  • Carry out assembly of inventory as required.
  • Carry out duties on Epicor system.
  • Operate and demonstrate use of specialised warehouse equipment Carousel as necessary.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is always clean, safe and orderly condition.
  • Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures.
  • Operation of a forklift and other assigned vehicle and equipment.
  • Responsible for ensuring they are fully trained to perform the warehouse activities and identifying training requirements to the Warehouse Supervisor.

THE PERSON

Essential

  • Warehouse experience, ideally in a similar environment
  • Good understanding of work flow
  • Team player
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Able to use own initiative
  • PC literate with experience of using of an ERP system.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of manual handling

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety regulations in a warehouse environment
  • Fork lift truck licence
  • Experience of using EPICOR (training given)
