We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our team.

As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials.

This is a physically demanding role that requires expertise in masonry techniques and the ability to operate power tools and hand tools.

Responsibilities:

Lay bricks or other masonry units to build walls, arches, chimneys, and other structures
Mix mortar or grout according to specifications
Cut or shape bricks using hand tools or power tools
Align bricks or masonry units using plumb lines, levels, or straightedges
Repair or replace damaged bricks or masonry units
Clean excess mortar from finished surfaces
Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment when necessary

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
Proficient in masonry techniques and tools
Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans
Knowledge of building codes and regulations
Strong attention to detail and precision
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
Excellent problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Skills:

Proficiency in working with power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders
Familiarity with hand tools used in masonry work such as trowels, hammers, and chisels
Knowledge of different types of masonry materials including bricks, concrete blocks, and stones
Experience with welding or carpentry is a plus
Ability to work on roofs for certain projects

Job Types:

Salary:
£24,555.50 per year
