Role - Urban Designer / Senior Urban Designer

Location - Edinburgh, Scotland

Salary - £30K - £42K DOE

  • If you're an Urban Designer or a Senior Urban Designer and looking for a role in Edinburgh, this is the ideal opportunity
  • We are working with a studio who have a vacancy for a creative Urban Designer or Senior Urban Designer and the possibly work out of one of their 4 office locations They undertake placemaking projects at every scale, from cities and towns, to neighbourhoods, streets and the design of individual buildings.
  • Ideally, for whichever level, they need someone with enthusiasm, strong design and communication skills and lead on masterplanning projects and will cover projects around the UK. For a higher tier grade, you ́d play a pivotal role within the residential team, whilst managing junior members of staff and maintaining and developing client relationships.
  • Their work has included the major city centres, including the design and delivery of city centre public realm, delivery of town centre masterplans and communityled estate regenerations.

URBAN DESIGNER KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in Urban Design
  • Between 38 years relevant experience (depending on the level)
  • Strong conceptual urban design, landscape and masterplanning skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Experience of engagement and collaborative working on design projects
  • Good experience with all RIBA stages, project running, team leading, and consultant liaison
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Suite and AutoCAD
  • Experience of working in an environmental design studio
  • A full UK driving licence
