Wednesday / Thursday / Saturday / Sunday

6pm - 6am

Job Description:
Drivers Mate / Assistant

Nights.

- _Position overview:_

Supporting HGV drivers. Collections will be made from our Worcester depot.

Deliveries will be throughout the Midlands, with occasional deliveries outside of this area:

Duties include:
Delivering to stores during the night. _
Deliveries will be handball / pallet truck. No forklift offloads_

Loading and unloading:
Assisting loading goods onto the delivery vehicle or truck, ensuring they are properly secured and organised. Assisting in unloading items at the destination as there are no forklift offloads.

Navigation:

May help navigate the driver by using maps, GPS systems, or route-planning software to ensure that the driver follows the correct directions and reaches the destinations on time.

Assist in maintaining delivery records, including proof of delivery, invoices, and other relevant paperwork. This may involve obtaining signatures or collecting payment from customers, as directed by the driver.

Health and safety:
Play a vital role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Help in the safe handling and transportation of goods, including adhering to weight limits, securing loads properly, and using appropriate safety equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Counterbalance certificate would be an advantage as this position may involve working in the warehouse.
Salary will depend on experience.
