Description

As a Technical Writer on the Voltaire team at IOG, you will help build the future of decentralized governance by creating, maintaining, and assessing the quality of technical documentation.

You will be working directly with the Voltaire product team and SMEs to develop an understanding of Cardano governance.

As part of the marketing and communications chapter, you are also expected to contribute to copywriting and content work, and to function as a technical intermediary, providing digestible summaries of complex topics.


Your mission

  • Develop technical content guidelines and align all of our documentation to a single standard
  • Contribute to strategy to structure and maintain technical content across code repositories, internal and externally facing websites
  • Update existing content, and write new content about our technology, our products and our people
  • Proofread, review and organize all technical documentation by liaising with the product managers and technical teams
  • Create Content for Product features for different formats: Turn new software product features into user guidelines, blog posts and web content
  • Produce high calibre documents that meet our standards and guidelines so that we maintain a common look and feel to all documentation produced
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members including members of the communication team through information gathering, content reviews, meetings and status reports.

Requirements:


Your expertise

  • Minimum of 13 years of experience as a Technical Writer preferably with a technology company
  • Thorough knowledge of technical writing concepts and techniques
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of community platforms/governance systems in crypto projects
  • Attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure created by deadlines
  • University degree majoring in technical writing/translation, major in computer studies, political science, philosophy or equivalent experience is preferred.
