Skytanking provides a full range of aviation services including ground handling, into-plane fuelling, aviation fuel storage and hydrant management, investment in aviation fuel facilities at airports, and engineering services in support of its airline, airport, and oil company customers.
Working as part of a small team this role is responsible for providing a proactive HR service to Skytanking England but will also provide HR Administrator support to the wider UK business when required.
You will be overseeing the HR administration activities including HR administration, preemployment checks, onboarding, and some limited payroll activities (as required).
This is a hybrid position with a minimum one day working from home.Key areas of Responsibility
A very hands-on role, the HR Administrator/ Coordinator will support the HR team and will be responsible for all administration for their client group; ensuring documents and records are all maintained to a high standard and in line with data protection.
- Support HR Business Partners with preparing documentation and contracts for new hires and administering the process for new hires.
- Completion of offer letters, employment contracts and all new starter paperwork
- Ensure that all necessary employment checks including DBS, criminal record, credit, or fraud database checks, right to work checks and reference checks are completed, raising any issues with the broader HR team.
- Administer the probation process ensuring managers are aware of the key timeframes and proactively provide documentation, liaising with the HR Business Partners as appropriate.
- Prepare letters using standard templates for example, probationary letters, salary increases, changes to terms and conditions, disciplinary letters, maternity / paternity letters etc.
- Ensure the HR Database accurately reflects current staff conditions and details. This includes inputting starters and leavers, contractual amendments, change of details, annual leave and recording of sicknesses and other leave.

Skills and Experience
- Excellent IT skills, including word, excel and ability to learn other systems quickly.

- Organizational skills
- Detail oriented and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and time pressures.
- Can be flexible and has the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
- Knowledge of a range of Human Resources and payroll systems
- Familiarity with applicant tracking database systems.
- Knowledge of human resources and employment law
- Previous experience in a HR Administration role
Qualifications
- Level 3 Award in Human Resources Essentials or Level 3 Diploma in Skills for Business Human Resources
- HR Apprenticeship
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a HR Administrator in a medium sized fast paced HR environment
