Summary of Role:


Raytheon UK are seeking a Head of GT for the Cyber, Space and Training ("
CST") Business to lead and manage all aspects of UK and US Export/Import compliance and as required, the export regulations of other countries as they relate to the CST business.

As Head of GT, CST, you will be required to ensure delivery of overall strategy for managing export control compliance output across the CST domestic and export programmes.

Working with the Head of Legal Ops and Head of GT Business Managers, you will be responsible for ensuring the right level of support to numerous different projects spanning countries across the globe.

You will also perform the role of Non-US Empowered Official (NEO) in respect of US Export Control Agreements and Licenses.

This role reports into the Head of Global Trade


Main Duties:


  • Ensuring the implementation of the overall export control governance strategy for CST programmes to ensure that effective export control policies, procedures, processes, tool sets and training plans are established, implemented, and maintained
  • Work with CST leadership to identity any GT related opportunities and risks and devise solutions to enable the business leadership team to drive delivery of the business goals and longrange plan
  • Management of complex agreements (NDAs, TAAs, etc.) including sublicensee and NDA reviews, approval of DN/TCN activity, and ensuring all activities undertaken are authorised under the relevant agreement
  • Manage the Agreement Export / Import Compliance Plans (AEICPs) process ensuring these are produced, implemented, maintained, and reviewed in accordance with company policies Working with the business on new and existing opportunities and effectively manage all GT obligations relating to the business unit in conjunction with the Export Control Manager ("
    ECM") team
  • Support the implementation and management of health checks, including risk identification and management, timely investigation and reporting
  • Coordinate with Head of Global Trade Compliance to support voluntary disclosure preparation
  • Supporting audits and closure actions where appropriate
  • Work closely with Legal Ops and ECM teams to ensure that BOEs are accurately provided for bids and that all programmes are appropriately resourced
  • Working with Legal Ops and Head of GT Business Managers, develop reports and metrics to enable effective engagement with programme leads
  • Meet or exceed utilisation KPI

Essential

  • Extensive knowledge of U.K. Export and Import Regulations, U.S. ITAR/EAR Regulations and shipping Procedures
  • Knowledge in corporate compliance investigations, EXIM licensing, customs and border enforcement, global trade operations, and relevant regulatory regimes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices on EXIM processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills and the ability to learn quickly, work independently with mínimal supervision, manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and lead intermediate projects and investigations in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage business leaders to drive crossfunctional implementation of new procedural solutions and work instructions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Proactive, well organised with ability to effectively manage volume and prioritise accordingly
  • Sound judgment and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to provide effective advice and counsel on EXIM matters
  • All round business commercial awareness
  • Strong team player

Desirable

  • Prior experience in Defence/Aeropsace or Government
