Part-time dental hygienist/therapist required.Caring and dedicated professional required to join our enthusiastic and passionate team. Smart, modern environment with easy access and on-site parking.
Fully computerized practice (using SOE) with digital x-rays. Great support staff with nursing assistance. To take over existing busy list of patients with low FTA rate.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Providing dental hygiene care to a wide range of patients
- Planning the delivery of care for patients to improve and maintain their periodontal health
- Obtaining a detailed dental history from patients and evaluating their medical history
- Completing periodontal examination and charting, and using indices to screen and monitor periodontal disease
- Providing preventive oral care to patients
- Undertaking supra
- Using appropriate antimicrobial therapy to manage plaque related diseases
- Adjusting restored surfaces in relation to periodontal treatment
- Providing smoking cessation advice to patients
- Administering infiltration and inferior dental block local anaesthesia
- Placing temporary dressings and recementing crowns with temporary cement
- Identify anatomical features, recognise abnormalities and interpret common pathology, and carry out oral cancer screening
- If necessary, refer patients to other healthcare professionals
- Keeping uptodate with all CPD requirements
- Working within all guidelines set by GDC, NHS and CQC
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Salary:
£800.00-£2,000.00 per month

Experience:
Dental Hygienist: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- GDC registration (required)
