Ward 22 NTGH is a stroke rehabilitation unit caring for patients of all ages and at varied points within their patient journey.

Our staff provide a high quality service in a safe environment where the needs to each patient are cared for in a professional and holistic manner by using all available specialist knowledge and skills.

The wellbeing of all our patients relies on appropriate and timely assessment, investigation, treatment and care.

Our ward can be a busy and challenging environment.

In joining our team, you will bring your skills and passion to provide the highest quality patient-focused care and compassion for our patients.

You must be a team player with excellent communications skills and have the ability to work using your own initiative as well as part of the wider team.

The post is fully rotational days/nights and covers seven days a week.


The main purpose of the role is to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the nurses and the ward manager.


  • To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care
  • To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team
  • To maintain high clinical standards
  • To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment
