We are looking for a Senior Proposals Coordinator who has a wealth of knowledge in the main contracting market.

Experience of working on public sector and private sector bids, up to £10m, within the construction or services industry is an advantage.

This is a varied and multi-skilled role that includes technical writing, desktop publishing/design, proofreading, leadership and ownership/management of quality submission documents.

The right person will be highly organised, flexible, able to work to deadlines, have an eye for detail and be able to work under their own initiative.


Summary of Key Duties

  • Work with the preconstruction and business development teams to create highquality submission documents
  • Share ideas to raise standards of submissions
  • Engage with the wider bid and project teams to ensure all ideas are captured and developed
  • Ability to support written content for quality submissions
  • Ensure that Morris & Spottiswood branding is correctly applied to all materials produced locally
  • Lead production of marketleading submission materials
  • Contribute to writing, editing and production of submission documents as required
  • Carry out independent and critical reviews of submission documents
  • Attend posttender review meetings to determine lessons learnt and ensure these are fed back into subsequent submission
  • Coordinate and produce case studies, brochures, presentations and other such collateral/ communications material to support account and opportunity engagement

Experience / Background
Already being an experience Senior Proposals Coordinator is essential along with proficient bid writing experience. We are looking for someone with experience of working and improving bid strategies & solutions.

Working well under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment is vital, as is the ability to interact with internal and external clients to deliver results.

Construction experience is desirable.


Personal Attributes

  • Knowledge of Adobe products (Acrobat Pro and InDesign) is an advantage
  • Demonstrable relevant experience in a similar role (able to demonstrate organisational skills)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work in a dynamic team with a variety of personnel in a fastpaced, deadlineoriented environment.
  • Experience in producing graphical content (InDesign) or equivalent
  • Excellent command of English language for editing text and response writing
  • The ability to help drive and support the culture of openness and knowledge sharing required within the team
  • Support and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Behaviours and attitudes in accordance with M&S core values to create a team culture and promote excellent communication.
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard private and public sector proposal processes is an advantage
  • A proactive approach, using initiative and taking responsibility for own actions
  • Assimilate large volumes of information and understand, plan and manage associated workflows
  • The ability to develop relationships and rapport with internal colleagues, stakeholders and clients.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication, team player and collaborative
  • Framework and project PQQ/Tender submission experience

Other Information
Standard hours of work: 8am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am-4pm on Fridays (1 hour lunch each day)
