A Marketing & Communications Specialist is now required support all marketing, sales and communications activities ensuring the business is perfectly representing its proposition, delivering an excellent customer experience from enquiry to delivery and continues to grow and surpass its business plan expectations.

The Marketing & Communications Specialist will be a high energy, confident, accurate individual with some understanding of engineering and the markets we operate within.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to bolster existing resources and join a highly motivated and ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Group Marketing Manager and Business Development Team in all their activities.
Organise exhibitions and events supported by the team.
Maintain high quality marketing materials including product samples and other promotional materials.
Take responsibility for updating and maintaining digital media including websites, social media and any other digital channels.
Be a key contributor in marketing messaging, internal news, collateral, graphical design and internal/external presentations.
Liaise with PR and media outlets generating regular and relevant external news releases.
Be able to qualify initial enquiries and pass them into the correct channels.
Coordinate the enquiries, database, implementation of any new systems (eg CRM) and provide metrics on our performance for reporting and continuous improvement.
Support communications internally and externally to ensure accurate messaging through digital, physical and in person engagement.
Play a key role as a positive ambassador for the business.

Personal Characteristics / Qualifications

Higher education or degree qualified in a relevant marketing/communications discipline
Confidence and experience operating within a high energy engineering environment.
A keen interest in the technical engineering aspects and the markets upon which the business operates.
Strong written skills and attention to detail.
Dynamic, openminded approach with a desire to make a difference to all tasks carried out.
Excellent MS Office and presentation skills.
Good graphic design skills using readily available software such as Adobe Photoshop plus a willingness to continually develop.
Competent digital marketing skills including websites, SEO, social media etc
Approachable and ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
Excellent communication skills, and ability to work cohesively within a team, recognising and leverage the strengths of each individual.
Flexible work attitude and willingness for travel where necessary.
Able to work to strict deadlines under pressure and willing to go above and beyond when necessary.
Positive "can do" approach and ability to work on own initiative.
Good organisational skills.
Willingness and ability to get handson including the building of marketing exhibitions.
Full driving license.
