JOB DESCRIPTION
RESEARCH
Build and expand upon our product portfolio using MICRO and MACRO factors, comparative shopping, trend forecasting and customer requests. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the product market and competitors' portfolios to enable accurate market evaluation and to identify opportunities.
PRODUCT

Research -_To support the Product Manager on sourcing new componentry from approved suppliers and negotiating and agreeing competitive supply terms and prices, taking inspiration from comparative shopping/trends.

Costings -_ Create costings sheets for each product - componentry/formulation/fragrance/freight. Ensure the costings provide profit for the company.

Formulation - _Work on creating new formulations for products - liaising with fragrance houses for new scents.
- _
Sourcing -_To support the Product Manager on sourcing new componentry from approved suppliers. To undertake thorough research and bench-marking activities to ensure that the product cost and sale price is competitive and can challenge the market in terms of specification, packaging and pricing.

Artwork - _Design briefs to send to graphic designers for visuals to show the customer. Artwork briefs with copy & ingredients to send to graphic designers to receive artwork for product labels/print. Thoroughly checking artwork.

Production - _To attend production, ensuring products are made to specification and have the correct paperwork.
CUSTOMER
Support the Product Manager to present new ranges and concepts to customers in line with the annual development plan. To liaise directly with customers throughout the launch schedule ensuring they are kept fully updated.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting the Project Manager on all projects.
- Playing a key role in the product development process from concept to launch, in a dynamic and fast paced beauty and home industry.
- Product costings, briefing suppliers, profit and loss management. Presentation preparation, including data analysis, competitor and gap analysis & sales performance analysis.
- Working with the Materials Planner to build Bills of Material (BOMs) and ensure componentry is ordered, updating BOMs as needed.
- Completing customer forms and using third party online systems as required.
- Running projects internally within the business but also externally with the customers and suppliers. Managing products costing throughout developments.
- To undertake additional adhoc projects/responsibilities as required. To support other members of the team when needed.
