This is an exciting opportunity at the University of Reading within the International Study and Language Institute (ISLI) to lead a small team of executive support administrators.

The School delivers a variety of taught programmes through the year to International students to develop their language and academic study skills.


We are looking for a highly organised and efficient individual who will play a key role in providing high quality, professional administrative, financial and operational support for the School.

This is an opportunity for a pro-active and motivated individual to join a busy team in a role which is instrumental in helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all School related operations.

The role is part-time, 25 hours per week and based on the beautiful Whiteknights campus.


You will be required to have:

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment; demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively within a team and the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Previous experience of working in financial administration, ideally in Higher Education or a similar environment with some demonstrable knowledge of financial accounting and budgeting.
  • Ability to manage, motivate and develop other team members
  • Confidence in making decisions and taking responsibility for their implementation (within the team and in collaboration with other ISLI Staff)
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy and methodical working
  • Excellent IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft package including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Be a keen and supportive team player with a "can do" attitude
