Green Building Renewables is a network of local experts with over 20 years' experience of installing low-carbon and renewable technologies.

GBR installs a range of products including air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage.

Job Purpose


The Surveyor at Green Building Renewables would survey the customers property and design a system that meets the customer requirements.

This role has commission associated with it and has target earnings of around £40,000, with an uncapped commission structure.


Skills and experience we are looking for:
Key Responsibilities

  • Undertakes customer visits, working from plans or conducting remote surveys to measure the dimensions of roof areas (for example, internal, external or interior of the loft)
  • Identifies and addresses obstructions.
  • Takes photos of key areas.
  • Considers cable runs between panels, inverter, batteries and home electrical supply.
  • Identifies potential locations of equipment in discussion with the customer.
  • Prepares reports summarising the proposal and highlights concerns or issues pertinent to the job.
  • Uses the wholesaler portal to generate a supplier quote for the parts required.
  • Generates a draft quotation in the finance system.
  • Completes proforma report to illustrate estimated energy generation and customer financial benefit.
Educations & qualifications

  • GCSE Qualifications A-C / 5 O'Levels
  • Essential
  • Full UK driving license
  • Essential


  • Customer Service experience

  • Essential
  • Recently qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor
  • Desirable
  • Experience of Renewable Energy systems
  • Desirable
  • Experience of working with Solar PV & Storage
  • Desirable
