Job Description:

Within Frasers Group, a stationery buyer is expected to manage the GNFS product range for all Frasers Group.

The category composes of office stationery, warehouse processing, e-commerce consumables, cleaning and site maintenance products, retail carrier bags, hangers, essentials for store management and internal processes, white goods, electrical, PPE, etc.

The Stationery Buyer needs to set up long-term category strategies and implement these strategies to achieve a secure and flexible supply chain, good supplier relationship and the best value out of the supply base for Frasers Group.

The buyer should have experiences in category management, preferably in a retail environment.

  • Forecasting product consumption, following with planning and processing purchase orders based on the business requirement, storage availability and product seasonal trends
  • Conducting analysis, such as spend analysis and stock level analysis
  • Implement the purchasing strategy for the Frasers Group category to achieve the most beneficial supply base for the company, including cost saving, efficiency and flexibility improvement as well as risk avoidance and business contingency planning, etc
  • Advising crossfascia team approaches/solutions to achieve the best value for money

Qualifications:


  • Analytical, strategic and able to prioritise jobs
  • Proven track record to influence and manage internal and external stakeholders, building and managing strong working relationships
  • Strong, demonstrable ability to collaborate in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent oral and written English is essential
  • Significant experience, within Procurement and/or Buying teams
  • A good understanding of how a global retail function operates
  • Preferred 2 years of category management experience
  • Contract management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office software, especially EXCEL to conduct data analysis
  • A track record of achievements in the purchasing area
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and some international travel may occasionally be required
