Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Light Vehicle Tutor / Trainer. The location of the role will be at our Centres in both Doncaster and Sheffield. Teaching qualifications are preferred though not necessary.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To maintain (80% success rate) successful qualification achievement and timely achievement rates of apprentice learners.
To offer guidance and training in all forms of motor vehicle studies including modern technology.
To embed Functional Skills Mathematics, English and ICT.
To act as a Course Tutor and/or Personal Tutor as appropriate.
To cooperate with ALS Funding Activities inline with learner and administration requirements.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To maintain discipline and exercise classroom control.
To ensure the continuous introduction and follow up of any agreed syllabus.
To maintain training activity records in accordance with legal, contractual and GTA requirements.
To maintain security of company, customer and learner records in accordance with Data Protection Act Requirements.
To exercise care in the use of company property and have responsibility to ensure adequate security of equipment, property and premises.
To assist in any matter beneficial to the GTA.
To participate in the GTA staff appraisal scheme and engage in ongoing professional updating and development as required.
To support the GTA's Equal Opportunities; British Values; Prevent; Safeguarding Policies.
To act, at all times, in accordance with GTA Policies, eg Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and the GTA Mission Statement.
To take responsibility for Health and Safety issues in the context of the duties outlines here.
