ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Operations Officer, you will be responsible for the co-ordination and oversight of the RVL Aviation flying programme. You will be a conduit for information and be required to process, prioritise, and promote this effectively.

You will be adept at problem solving and critical thinking.

We seek someone who is receptive to change, can challenge decisions and command the respect of those they interact with.

You will be able to work methodically and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

You will also demonstrate a passion for aviation, be a proven communicator, and be committed to safety and helping customers.

An Operation Officer facilitates the needs of a dynamic and evolving business. You will work collaboratively with our customers, flight crew, engineering, safety and commercial teams to achieve desired results. We are an 24 Hour Operation, the position involves working shifts and unsociable hours.


Our Operations Officers are not confined to a desk, you will be required to assist with ramp operations which require both physical and mental dexterity.


TASKS INCLUDE:


  • Dispatch of aircraft within the RVL Aviation Fleet.
  • The Preflight briefing of Flight Crew, identifying hazards to flight safety and commercial risks.
  • Flight Watch; ensuring the operation is safe, expeditious and cost effective. Optimum use of software in support of this aim.
  • Flight Planning, the generation, submission, and management of Operational Flight Plans (OFP).
  • Liaison with flow management centres and local ATC facilities, the mitigation of delays to filed

Flight Plans.

  • Aircrew roster management, the allocation and monitoring of duties to prescribed standards and
Flight Time Limitations (FTL) schemes.

  • Proactively communicating with stakeholders and sharing information.
  • Escalation of issues in a timely fashion where input is required from other departments or organisations.
  • Proactive Weather and NOTAM checking before commencement of operations.
  • Coordinating ground handling, fuel, permits, HOTAC and transport.
  • Capitalising on commercial opportunities and charter requests.
  • Facilitating shortnotice operations.
  • Collating preflight documentation and processing return flight documentation (RFD)
  • The use of GSE to facilitate aircraft ramp movements, fuelling aircraft, and management of cargo.
  • Enacting Emergency Response Procedures (ERP) as required.
  • Proactive contribution to RVL Group's Safety Culture and Safety Management System.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working within the Aviation Industry.
  • Experience gained within an OCC or Ground Handling Agent.
  • Understanding of Flight Time Limitations.
  • Computer literate & excellent knowledge of MS office suite.
  • Ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

DESIREABLE

  • Holder of FAA Dispatch Licence.
- 'UKOMA Operations Officer' course completion.

  • Employment with a UK 'Type A Operating Licence' holder.
  • Use of Flight Planning and Operational Control Systems.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Full UK driving licence; Passport; Right to live and work in the UK.
