Health and Safety Officer
Salary between £32220 and £39093 per annum

Based at King's Court Council Offices, King's Lynn

If you are a highly motivated and adaptable health and safety professional, we need you to join our small, professional, and multi-functional Food Safety and Health and Safety team.

We need you to carry out a wide range of health and safety functions, including visits, inspections, surveys and examinations of premises, practices or processes following accident notifications, health and safety complaints and referral or other health and safety matters.

Following investigations, you will take appropriate action as authorised by the Council in accordance with procedures.

You will also assist in the promotion and investigation of public health and safety matters and follow up requests for registration of premises and persons for skin piercing activities.

You will assist in the planning and implementation of intervention strategies targeting national and local priorities.

You will have current working knowledge of health and safety and associated legislation with or working towards an NVQ level 5 in Health and Safety regulation or equivalent.

You will be able to communicate effectively with the ability to analyse and evaluate the results of investigations to identify and recommend appropriate action.

You must have a full driving licence to be able to travel around the borough.
