One Market Street Cafe has a vacancy for a cafe/kitchen assistant to join our small, friendly team. We are an independent, busy cafe in a small market town.This role will involve a mixture of both front and back of house, focusing on work in the kitchen. You will primarily assist in food preparation.
Other roles will include greeting and seating customers, taking customers' orders, clearing tables, use of the till, hot drink making including use of the coffee machine, working as a team, washing up, helping to keep things clean and tidy and general needs of the cafe.
Usual hours will be Tuesday, Thursday to Saturday 9am - 5pm and Wednesday 9am - 3pm, with some flexibility with regards to these hours, depending on the season, staffing levels and workload.
Ideally, you will have previous experience of working in hospitality or in customer service and food preparation, but this is not essential.
