Full time: 35 hours per week (workings hours can be negotiable)
Fixed Term until February 2024
The Opportunity:
The University of Edinburgh Holyrood campus is the base for the Moray House School of Education and Sport and the Centre for Opening Learning.
We are seeking a Technical & Facilities Assistant to join our Campus Facilities Team us on a temporary basis to cover a secondment.
You will provide day-to-day operational support for matters relating to estates and buildings, health & safety, facilities and security for the campus, as well as manage the day-to-day technical support for COL Art & design programmes.
With a customer focus, you will support and enhance the experience of staff and students as they encounter the facilities on campus.
Excellent communication, team working and interpersonal skills are therefore essential for this role.You will be organised, polite and personable, able to plan your own workload effectively and to supervise the workload of others.
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role. A basic qualification related to health & safety and a knowledge of I.T. and A.V. equipment would also be an advantage.Your skills and attributes for success:
Ability to communicate clearly across a range of colleagues
A good knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different tasks
Attention to detail in recording building and other health and safety information
A good level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills
