We are currently working with an manufacturing company based in Alfreton to recruit a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the company.

Reporting into the Financial Director you will be responsible for the running of the Purchase Ledger department and managing a team of two.

They are looking for someone who is innovative and who can drive improvements and new ideas.


Applicants must have a minimum of two years experience of working in Purchase Ledger including processing payment runs to completion and ideally experience of supervising members of staff.


Duties:


  • Process supplier invoices against purchase order receipts
  • Manually process signed and coded invoices and credit notes
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Supervise team of 2 purchase ledger clerks
  • Assist in processing month end
  • Follow up any due/overdue invoices internally for updates/resolution
  • Resolve any queries raised by suppliers
  • Process the monthly BACS payment run ready for approval
  • Ensure vendor list with any supplier detail is kept up to date
  • Send remittance advices to suppliers from supplier payment runs
  • Maintain purchase ledger invoice filing systems
