Description
HGV Fitter (PM shift) Required in Gloucester for a Temporary to Permanent position.


Role:

  • General maintenance of any vehicle/equipment at any time allocated to you by the Workshop Manager/Supervisor (Waste vehicles).
  • Attend appropriate training and personal development as required by the Company.
  • To undertake duties within your experience, skill and ability and under the instruction of the Workshop Manager/PM Supervisor.
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner to timescales.
  • Observe all Health and Safety requirements and instructions at the site.
  • Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with company policies, to a high standard and in line with best practice.
  • Wear the appropriate PPE.
  • Comply with your responsibilities as laid down in the Group's Health, Safety & Environment Policy and complete the relevant documentation on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Familiarising yourself with the evacuation and emergency procedures at the site, including the location and type of each fire extinguisher.
  • To follow all instruction and direction from the Workshop Manager/PM Supervisor.
  • Carry out best practice and safe working practices.
  • Always inspect tooling ensuring it is not defective and fit for use.
  • Report any malfunction, unserviceability of equipment/tools immediately.
  • Report any accident or injury immediately however small.
  • Report any near accident or potential of an accident.
  • Benefits

Hours & Pay:
Working Monday to Thursday, 17:00pm to around 05:00am. You will be weekly paid every Wednesday, with holiday pay accrued. Once the probation period is completed you will be placed on an annual salary, paid monthly.
