EMSOU is an exciting place to work, where no two days are the same.


As one of the largest collaborative units of its kind in the country the East Midlands Special Operations Unit delivers specialist capabilities on behalf of five forces.


A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Intelligence Officer to join our team where the main focus is the collection, development and research of intelligence to support operational activity in the field of serious and organised crime.


As a team we pursue investigations across a wide spectrum of criminal activities using resources to disrupt, convict those who cause harm to our communities and victims of crime and recover both criminal finances and assets.


Key Accountabilities

  • You will be conducting reactive and proactive investigations using awareness of information and evidence gathering.
  • You will be using your research and development techniques to produce high quality intelligence reports to support operational activity.
  • You will be working with other partnerships and agencies to gather information.

The must haves

  • Must be educated to A level standard or have experience of working to that level.
  • Have a working knowledge of NIM (National Intelligence Model) and an understanding of the value of intelligence in focusing on operational activity.
  • Experience and ability to interrogate both open and closed intelligence sources.

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.

This is a full-time, permanent role


Salary:
SO1 (£31,434 - £33,348)


Due to MV/SC vetting requirements, you must have a minimum of 5 years continuous UK residency to be eligible to apply.
