We are looking for a Band 6 Shift lead to work on The Forget me Not Unit
- someone who strives to deliver high standards of care to medically ill patients but also has the ability to show compassion to this group of patients.


There will be the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in caring for patients living with dementia inadditionthere will be the opportunity togain knowledgearound mental health law and the assessment of patients living with a dementia.


If you have sufficient post registration experience, preferably within the care of the Older Person, if you enjoy a challenge and are highly motivated with a positive attitude, come and visit us here on the Forget Me Not Unit and meet the team.


The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development and implementation and evaluation of programs of care without supervision.

They will be required to actively participate in the teaching and supervision of other nursing and non-nursing staff.

The post holder will also be required to take a lead / link role for the nursing unit/department to be determined on appointment/appraisal.

To communicate effectively with patients and visitors and ensure that their needs for information are met.


To ensure patients are involved in decisions about their care and treatment and that they have sufficient information to do this.

To perform diagnostic tests e.g. venepuncture, ECG and BM samples as required and supervise others training to do these tests.

To undertake monthly audits
