Job description:

Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a high growth business to add an assistant accountant to become an essential part of the finance department.

This is a varied role that requires excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ideally suited to an enthusiastic reliable person who has the desire to progress.


This role will typically report into the Financial Controller and will include helping the team keep on track and up to date with all accountancy matters.

Central Manchester


Salary:
£25,000 - £30,000


Main Duties:


  • Maintaining spreadsheets for the department
  • Supporting the financial controller with the daytoday tasks required within a busy finance department.
  • Working with sales / purchase ledger
  • Support with preparation of management accounts
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and data imports
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Reconciliation of finance accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Credit control
  • Following and using Accounts systems
  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Working closely with individuals across the business at all levels

Individual Specification:


  • At least 12 months experience in finance, ideally in a similar role
  • High level of selfmotivation
  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
  • Fundamental understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
  • Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions
  • Computer literate with an aptitude for numbers and different systems
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to handle high volumes of financial data
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • NetSuite prior experience would be great but not necessary
