Within this available role, you will have the oppotunity to learn and develop the technical capabilities to achieve an NVQ level 3 or above in a multi-skilled engineering maintenance discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
The table below details the 4 to 5 key responsibilities of the job. These responsibilities represent the major areas of work performed and are not an exhaustive list of all tasks.
- Undertake a programme of training required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance of production equipment in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice, to maintain performance and compliance whilst minimising production downtime.
- Develop the capability to ensure all maintenance work carried out is correctly documented and recorded in accordance with company procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Develop the capability to diagnose and repair equipment that is not functioning correctly. The ability to understand complex information and read engineering drawings is essential
- Complete the training requirements of the apprenticeship. Provide documented evidence of training completion for review by the Engineering team leader and external educational bodies.
Salary:
- Year 1 Package is £18,640. Made up of £16,000 basic salary and £2,640 to be used for employment benefits or can be cashed out as salary.
- Year 2 Package is £19,805. Made up of £17,000 basic salary and £2,805 to be used for employment benefits or can be cashed out as salary.
- Year 3 Package is £20,970. Made up of £18,000 basic salary and £2,970 to be used for employment benefits or can be cashed out as salary.
- Year 4 Package is £28,775. Made up of £24,700 basic salary and £4,075 to be used for employment benefits or can be cashed out as salary
4 GCSEs at Grade 5-9 or A-C to include Maths and English.
Training to be provided
- The learner will be studying the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
You will be working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
