An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our rapidly growing travel insurance business as a Claims Assessor.

Millions of leisure and business travers rely on Travel Guard, AIG Travel's portfolio of travel insurance solutions and global assistance services, to help them recover from unexpected circumstances that can interrupt their travel plans.


What you need to know:
Due to winning a new contract, we are hiring a new team of Claims Assessors to join us. You will work a 37.5 hour Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 5:30pm.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Assess claims under AIG's Travel Insurance plans
  • Analyse claims made against the relevant policy wording to determine customer
  • Contact claimants to request additional information where required, and settle or decline the claim as appropriate
  • Guide customers through each stage of the claims process
  • Work towards targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) to achieve business objectives

What we need from you:
You don't need previous insurance experience as full training is provided, but you must be resilient, driven and self-motivated with a willingness to learn, and possess the following skills:

  • Customer service and/or admin experience within an office environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload to meet targets and deadlines
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good problem solving and investigative skills
