The Company


My client is in the advertising sector and due to their success are recruiting an Account Manager into their busy team.


The Opportunity
We're looking for an intelligent, organised and savvy Account Manager to join our friendly, hard-working team.

You'll be protecting the reputations of some of the UK's biggest and most important projects for a rapidly changing world.


JOB SUMMARY

  • You'll work principally with our valued consultation and engagement clients on projects that are vital to society, for example new sources of low carbon energy, across Wales and England.
  • You'll deliver online and inperson engagement programmes with stakeholders and local communities, including producing suites of printed and digital materials and delivering inperson and virtual events.
  • You'll ensure everyone on the account is aware of their priorities, delivering the strategy and programme on time, on target and to the right standard, achieving the overall objectives to a high standard of quality.
  • You'll be contributing to clients' businesses on a strategic level, showing an understanding of their commercial environment and the issues that might affect them.
  • You will also work with corporate and businesstobusiness clients, unearthing stories and crafting features, case studies, press releases and social media content.
  • This pivotal role is the eyes and ears of the team, scouting out issues, and potential opportunities, both internally and externally.
  • You'll have a willingness to work flexibly as required, often under pressure, including travel as needed within the UK for client meetings and events.

Personal Profile

Ideally you will:

  • Have between four and eight years' experience in Public Relations or a closely related field.
  • Be a Welsh language speaker, with a good standard of spoken and written Welsh.
  • Have successfully dealt with varied aspects of a communications or engagement campaign/project, having driven it forward and ensuring its successful delivery.
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities, bringing good business sense and the ability to work to budgets.
  • Have interest in current affairs and an understanding of local & national politics in Wales and England Ability to work flexibly as part of a tightknit team to meet often demanding deadlines.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills, with good presentation, consultation and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in managing print and digital production.
  • Confidence, tact, and a professional and friendly manner.
  • Good 'people skills', for working with a range of colleagues and clients.
