Description

The role involves independent working within Cancer Services supporting the Acute Oncology service, ensuring key data items throughout the whole patient journey are captured and accurately recorded within the allocated data base.

This information is used to inform the monitoring and evaluation of the Acute Oncology Service.

The post holder will proactively manage and analyse data, be expected to participate across a range of functions, including supporting audit, the cancer services and Clinical Governance, present data at service meetings.

Acute oncology at ABUHB is a developing team with lost of ambition.

The post holder will be a key part of the team not only for ABUHB but the wider oncology service through out South East Wales.

You will be encouraged to work autonomously while being supported by the service lead.

Training opportunities will be provided

Working within the Acute Oncology service managing, recording and reporting data.

Attending meeting and minute taking.

Assisting with Audit and Key performance indicators.

Taking telephone calls from medical staff, patients and family members.

Supporting the Acute oncology service with general administrator duties.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

RSA II Typing and/or audio typing or equivalent

Excell

Working knowledge of WPAS, MedSecs and CWS

Practical experience of working in an office environment

Audio typing experience

Dealing with people via telephone

Liaising/communicating with all levels of staff
