HR Advisor**
About this role: This is an internal-facing role, which will play an integral part in employee relations. The HR advisor will work at an operational level whilst driving business initiatives. Core to the position will to provide support and provide guidance on all HR matters relating and ensure the effective implementation of the HR strategy & operational plans. Reporting into the MD, Engineering (site) and HR Manager, you will also develop effective working relationships with the local Management Team to enable a first-class HR service to be delivered.


HR Advisor is primarily responsible for the following:


HRMI:
Capture, manage and maintain all HR Related documentation systems so that data is as close to real-time as is practical Provide monthly headcount statistics Store, manipulate and present data in the most user-friendly way in order for the data to used to support other business areas


General / Administrative:
Manage and maintain the HR mailbox, assuring that all your stakeholders needs are met Engage with managers and employees face-to-face where appropriate Provide individuals with realistic expectations around query resolution Work with new and existing employees to support the process for both skilled worker and inter-company transfer (ICT) visasWork with the Home Office portal (UKVI) for visa related queries Carrying out eligibility to work checks and manage documentation complianceDrafting and issuing employee lifecycle-related documentation including but not limited to: Contracts and offer letters Probation process Contractual changes Leaver letters Design, schedule and facilitate new starter induction programmes Benefits administration and providing advice except on certain matters such finance related Responsible for coordinating the payroll process with Finance Managing absence ensuring the process in place is carried out and instances are recorded Organise and manage all aspects of family friendly processes including maternity, paternity, adoption, parental and unpaid leave and flexible working

Employee Relations:
Approach ER with an appropriate balance of fairness, procedure and risk management Resolve issues quickly and effectively to minimise the chance of further occurrences Coach managers to prevent issues arising through a best practice approach Track and monitor activities and keep accurate records Keep up to date with employment law changes

Project Work:

Focus efforts to achieve the functions objectives Support with project work
Required Attributes: CIPD qualified to Level 3 (or equivalent).

3+ years experience in a human resources Confident with Microsoft Excel Demonstrated ability to improve employee morale Comprehensive understanding of employment laws Experience of resolving complex casework problems Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills Negotiation skills Strong business acumen Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Takes responsibility for own actions and visibly supports the leadership teams.

Ability to coach and mentor management and employees.
