Multi-skilled Maintenance/Handyperson - Yorkshire

Blue Square Residential Ltd is a property management company and we are looking for an experienced handyman to look after our supported accommodation properties in and around Leeds, Kirklees and York.

Skills required:

Painting and Decorating
Plumbing (changing taps, replacing washing machines, cleaning blocked traps)
Basic electrics (changing/ repairs light fittings, electrical heaters installations)
General property repairs
Basic carpentry (mainly door installation, lock changes)
Some physical work required such as moving furniture and delivering beds, occasional rubbish clearance
Some light gardening/grounds maintenance (mowing lawn, trimming hedges)

Person specification:

Hold a full clean UK driving licence (Minimum 2 years) and have access to own vehicle
Be willing and able to provide a satisfactory DBS check
Experience within a similar busy manual role is essential
Proficient at using general tools
Willing to carry out all manual handling works
Capable of completing H&S courses, to improve skills and continuously learn.
Reliable, punctual and customer orientated
Good communicator
Willing and able to use the company's repair system to report back and response to jobs allocated.

Position:
full-time/self-employed.

Hours:9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (evenings and weekend work may be occasionally required during busy periods and emergencies)

Salary:
up to £150 per day (depending on experience)
