We are looking for Warehouse Operative and a picker and packer within a busy warehouse.

Responsibilities and functions

  • Ensure a safe and hygienic workplace.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment breakdowns are reported timeously.
  • All machinery and equipment must be stored in their designated storage bays, to avoid risks and accidents.
  • Attain targets and meet deadlines to contribute successfully to the team.
  • Assist the warehouse teams to achieve targets.
  • Meet key performance indicators.
  • Prepare, load, label and ship orders.
  • Examine all received supplies for defects and damages.
  • Load and offload supplies from incoming delivery vehicles, containers or boxes.
  • Sort and store supply timeously, to reduce stock damages.
  • Keep an accurate inventory log for all incoming and outgoing supplies.
  • Thoroughly assess all incoming supplies for shortages, damages or any deficiencies.
  • Report any factors that will impact the warehouse operations.
  • Utilising all FLT's in a safe manner in line with H & S policy
  • Ensuring that all outbound stock is checked, loaded accurately and despatched on the system
  • Undertaking PI checks as directed by management
  • Maintaining all stock in an acceptable condition and ensure stock is placed in racking safely
  • Complying with Health & Safety procedures at all times
  • Undertaking any other duties which may be required to assist the needs of the business as directed by management

Skills and experience required for Reach Truck FLT Driver:

  • F.L.T. Licence (Reach Truck)
  • PPL licence
  • Level Order Picker licence
  • Experience of using an automated warehouse management system and scanners etc.
  • Experience of using Reach trucks with extending mast
  • Experience of using double deep racking

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£10.50-£13.00 per hour
