The role is to lead on the safe running of the community school facilities within a number of the school sites we work with.

Additionally, the officer must look to build a relationship with the community sports and activity clubs and organisations to help ensure that they receive a top-class experience whilst working with us.


Job Purpose:


To welcome all groups and organisations into the schools' facilities, providing an excellent customer service approach, and ensuring all facilities are open, clear and ready on time for each group to be able to enjoy their visits.


Report to:
Operations Manager


Role and Responsibilities:


  • To deliver a topclass experience for our community hirers, ensuring all customers receive a positive and rememberable experience.
  • Ensure the setting up of rooms for groups and other school events is done in a timely and thorough manner before the first lettings begin.
  • Be supportive of other members of staff across our sites.
  • Be responsible for reporting any issues discovered on site through the online forms.
  • Undertake light cleaning duties to ensure that the school is returned in a good, clear and clean condition for the following day.
  • Completion of quality control checks on a regular basis to ensure understanding is high, and gaps in knowledge are identified early.
  • Securing the school at all times to enable our safeguarding measures to be implemented fully.
  • Ensuring that the school is, clear, clean, locked and secured at the end of each shift.

Expected behaviours and experience

Our Lettings Officers need to be:

  • Engaging and able to liaise with groups in a confident manner.
  • Adaptable to changing scenarios on site, with a problem solving mentality.
  • Able to complete administration tasks relating to our live booking system and staff scheduling software.
  • Organised and punctual to ensure we provide the best experience to all our groups and organisations on site.
  • Willing and able to participate in training opportunities throughout the year.
  • Passionate about our values as a business and understanding our "Community First" approach.

Our Lettings Officers need to:


  • Be a reflection of the company values.
  • Represent the company professionally and personally in all communications with hirers and school staff.
  • Take pride in their work and bring their best attitude and approach to each shift.

Our routes of progression:


  • Our staff get the opportunity to progress within the School Lettings team in more Senior roles
  • We offer Level 2 customer service apprenticeships, Level 3 Community Sport and Health apprenticeships, and Degree Apprenticeships in BSc(Hons) Sports Business Management with the University of Hertfordshire

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time


Pay:
£10.50-£11.44 per hour
