  • FulltimeDue to continued success and growth, our leading, award winning Belfast based Client wishes to appoint an experienced HR Advisor. Our Client is a well established employer with an impressive brand portfolio and multiple sites. This is a fixed term contract job, for a 912 month maternity duration.


The successful HR Advisor/HR Generalist will join a well established, busy HR department, supporting a large, multi-site, workforce and providing expert guidance on the full range of HR activities - employee relations, L&D, engagement, reporting, recruitment etc.

This is a true generalist HR role offering great variety and autonomy. Currently the HR Advisor will work 3 days on site and 2 days from home.


The Role:


  • Act as a professional point of contact for line management on matters of HR policy and "best practice"
  • Support recruitment and selection campaigns advertising and attending interview panels
  • Assist with managing sickness absence, working through a caseload of long term absences and assisting line managers with short term absence control
  • Provide advice and guidance on handling disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Provide HR support during periods of restructuring and change
  • Handle tribunal claims
  • Assist with the delivery of training solutions where appropriate
  • Assist with the employee survey process
  • Contribute to management information and reports eg absence, maternity, recruitment and turnover
  • Contribute to HR continuous improvement projects

The Person:


  • CIPD qualified, or working towards this
  • Minimum of 12 years experience working in an HR Advisor/Generalist/Officer role within a fast paced, commercial environment, essential
  • Proven track record of coaching and influencing line managers at all level
  • Recent relevant experience of NI/UK employment policies and procedures
  • Strong experience of resolving and advising on employee relations issues
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
  • Driving licence as this role will require travel to sites within the province
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
