Are you motivated, dynamic and passionate about driving services forward. Are you a registered clinician with leadership and change management skills, alongside experience of working in children's services?

This is an exciting opportunity to provide operational leadership to an Integrated Children in Care (CiC)Team.

Initially the post holder will have operational responsibility for two physical health teams (CiC Nursing Team and Permanency medical team) and will have a key role in bringing physical and mental health teams together through consultation and a structured project plan, to achieve a fully integrated service.


This service transformation will require the post holder to have experience of change management and excellent leadership skills to develop a service that can continue to meet Statutory requirements, whilst driving change to help improve outcomes for children and Young people in the care of the local authority.


The Operational lead will work closely with the Named Nurse for Children in Care, Named Doctor and clinical specialists to ensure that issues affecting Children in care are reflected in Policies and service delivery.

They will promote a service that seeks to improve health outcomes through Innovative practice and collaborative working, building a framework of processes that ensures statutory time scales and requirements are met.

Key elements of the Role

  • Lead on the development of an integrated service
  • Ensure operational and clinical delivery is managed through robust processes and pathways that deliver on the requirements of statutory guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure a structured and coordinated approach to change, ensuring the wider impact is considered in the project plan.
  • Provide operational line management for direct reports

This post requires the post holder to be able to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and post holders must be able to undertake physical interventions.

Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.

A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes is essential.
